Strawberry Festival

We are thrilled to present the 19th Annual Strawberry Festival, a beloved downtown Durham event, on Saturday May 4th from 11am-3pm at Old North Durham Park.

This is a child-centered, family run, community fun-focused event for the entire Durham Community hosted by Central Park School for Children. Children’s ingenuity combines with community volunteerism to raise funds for CPSC’s mission of All Children Thriving, all during a trash-free green event!

Come enjoy a fun-filled family day while raising money for our students. The festival features:

Local food
Live music & entertainment
Activity booths by kids, for kids
Arts & crafts
Strawberry treats
Community vendors

Festival Features

Over 7,000 children, parents and community members of all ages will gather to enjoy a fun-filled family day while raising money for our students. The festival features:

Proceeds

All funds raised at the Strawberry Festival support cultivating paths of access for students at our school. Proceeds from the event have a direct impact on CPSC students and faculty each year, supporting:

Daily operations focused on child centered, project-based learning
Outdoor educational activities, field trips, and our integrated arts curriculum
Transportation for children who don’t have a way to school (NC charter schools do not get public support for transportation or facilities)
Nutrition, after-school care, club/camp/field trip scholarships
Technology, guest artist presentations, faculty professional development and SO MUCH MORE!
